“I Hope To Have My Best Season in India With Blasters” – Noah Sadaoui
Kerala Blasters FC announced their arrival in the 133rdIndianOil Durand Cup as they put 8 goals past a young Mumbai City FC in their opening match. Though they played a draw against ISL counterparts Punjab FC but they were back in their demolishing form in their final group game winning it 7-0. One of the key performers in those two matches was KBFC’s new recruit, Moroccan Noah Sadaoui.
After spending two seasons with FC goa, Noah made the move further south to join the Blasters. Speaking about his short time so far with his new club, he said, ”The move to Kerala Blasters has been amazing so far. I didn’t think that I would gel in so quick, and build a relationship with everyone so quick. I have received a warm welcome to the club, from my teammates, the fans, and the management and that plays a huge role in my performances.”
Noah didn’t take long to settle into his new side as he scored a hat-trick in KBFC’s opening match in the Durand Cup. He then scored another hat-trick against Mumbai City FC to take his tally to six goals and is currently the highest goalscorer of this edition. “It has been a great start with KBFC and to be able to help the team win with such performances is always a confidence booster for us attacking players. To score goals, provide assists and help the team win is always a huge confidence booster,” he said on his performance so far.
Kerala Blasters FC will now face the challenge of rival Bengaluru FC in the quarter final to book a place in the semis of the Durand Cup. Speaking about the rivalry, Noah said, “Personally, I don’t allow such games to get to me and I take it as any other game and that’s when I feel that I perform the best. I prefer to focus on the little things; what can I do better to help my team. BFC has done a lot of recruitment this season and has brought in a lot of great players but we too have a really good set of players and we will be going into the game with a winning mentality. “
Noah so far has set-up an eye-catching partnership with Kwame Peprah and Adrian Luna in the attack for the Blasters. “Luna and Peprah are two amazing players for us and it is easy to gel with players of such quality. And we have a great relationship off the field as well which translates into the relationship we have on the field and it will take us a long way,” he said on the trio’s bonding.
Noah then spoke about the faith the coach and the club has put on him to lead the Blasters’ attack and to fight for their goals and said, “To be honest, after joining the team I have had an amazing relationship with the coach and the staff and they have given me a lot of confidence, believed in me, trusted me and this will help me throughout the season. Having such confidence from the coach, you even want to run through a wall for the club. I will do my absolute best to repay the club and coach’s confidence and as a team we want to go after all the trophies. And the Durand Cup is our first goal and we are looking forward to the next game willing to play better than the last game. For my personal goals, as an attacking player, you need to be contributing towards the team with goals and assists and I hope I can contribute as much as I can and have my best season in India.“
