Jamshedpur Football Club is an Indian professional football club based in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. The club has competed as a member of Indian Super League under license from All India Football Federation (AIFF). The club is owned by Tata Steel, a subsidiary of the Tata Group. Jamshedpur FC is the first club in the Indian Super League to have its own Stadium and training ground.

The Durand Cup is the oldest football tournament in Asia and the third oldest football tournament in the world. In 1888, the tournament started off as an Army Cup open only to the British Indian Army troops in India but soon it opened up to civilian teams.
