About Baghpat FC
FC Banaras Baghpat officially began its journey in January 2026, when a group of visionaries from Banaras set out to make a difference through football. Having assembled a team and staff within two months, coach Vivek Singh and his squad battled through the I-League 3 group stage - winning three of four matches and drawing one - to qualify for the playoffs. Hailing from the historic city of Banaras (Varanasi), FC Banaras Baghpat is a newly established club that made its debut in the 2025-26 season in the I-League 3 (Third Division). The club's ambition is to bring the culture of Banaras to the forefront of Indian football while building a sustainable talent pool from Uttar Pradesh for years to come.
